Chaitra Sontakke

Chaitra Sontakke is the Curriculum Coordinator for Hindustani Vocals at Shankar Mahadevan Academy. 
A promising vocalist , performer , and mentor, Chaitra is equally at ease with Hindustani Classical as well as as Bhajan , Sufi and fusion styles of singing.  She went on to formally begin her music education under Sri Subramanya. She later started Hindustani Music lessons from Dr Smt Mani Sontakke and Dr. R. B. Sontakke. Under his guidance she mastered the Gharanedar Gayaki of Pandit OmkarnathThakur's famous Bhavapoorna Gayaki style.She has done her Masters degree in Classical Vocals apart from B.E .She has performed across different cities in India in concerts for Sangeet Sankalp, Nadashree Sangeet Sabha, Lal Bagh Udyana Vana, Pt. Basavaraj Bendigeri Smriti,  and Independence Day Celebrations attended by Hon Chief Minister  B.S. Yediyurappa and Governor H. R. Bharadwaj. She has also perfomed  for ETV , KASTURI , UDAYA  T.V. Akashvani and Doordarshan.
