The student has completed HV110 at the academy and completed the HVERe1 level.

<li>To practise the Chhota Khayals in Ragas Des, Kafi, Bhairav, Bhimpalasi  with  Aalap and Taan within the Bandish</li>
<li>To develop an understanding of Raga Characteristics of Des, Kafi, Bhairav, Bhimpalasi</li>
<li>To practise to perfection, student's own composition of Tarana, Sargam Geet in 2 Ragas. Lakshangeet.</li>
<li>To review the Bol and Theka of Taal-s learned and performed </li>
<li>To develop awareness about Thaat system, Time theory of Ragas, Types of compositions /allied forms of classical music, Ragamala.</li>
<li>To imbibe in practice the Swar Sadhana concepts, Swara Pehchan, Raga Pehchan,  the comlex patterns of Alankar and patterns in different Ragas</li>
</ul>

The student is able to :
<ul>
<li> present the Chhota Khayal in the given Raga-s</li>
<li>apply the concepts of voice culture exercises done in the form of various Swara exercises and Alankars in singing </li>
<li>sing basic Alankars iand Swar Prastar/Sapat Alankar in every Raga</li>
<li>sing Swar Vistar in the Ragas given</li>
<li>recite the Theka for the Taals mentioned</li>
</ul>

Three sessions for revision/ practice and the fourth session is used for presentation by the student.

The beginner level courses provide robust foudational concepts leading mainly towards the complete presentation of Chhota Khayal in the popular Ragas or we could say, most performed Ragas. The purpose of this level exam is to hone the presentational skills of the student and review the concepts that provide the theoretical base to this performing artform. The sense of accomplishment or just the sense of adding layers of depth to your knowledge would double the joy of learning music. This course provides practice sessions for the Re level examination-2, that is conducted after the course HV110. The focus of study is laid on the content from the courses HV107, 108, 109 and 110.  It is assumed that the student has knowledge of the courses done earlier.
