Terms and Conditions

SANGAM™ Bengaluru 2024 is open to all Students of the Academy (Shankar Mahadevan World of Art DWC LLC and CloodOn Musica Pvt Ltd) who joined the Academy before 15 February 2024 in an Instructor-Led course and are enrolled in an active Instructor-Led course as of 3 August 2024.


Students are required to sign up for online rehearsal sessions before 2 June 2024 , to participate and perform at SANGAM™ Bengaluru 2024.


Participation in SANGAM™ Bengaluru 2024 is open to Students of ages 4 and above. 


The Academy will not be bearing the expenses of travel or accommodation for any student/guest.


All SANGAM™ Bengaluru 2024 performances are Group Performances.


SANGAM™ fees are non-refundable. SANGAM™ fees are not transferable and cannot be exchanged.


The Academy reserves the right to use any photographs/videos/sound recordings provided by you or collected during SANGAM™ Bengaluru 2024 as promotional material. Please read our Privacy Policy for further information.


The Academy reserves the right to refuse or reject your entry from the Event. In particular but without limitation you may be refused admission to or removed from the event for any of the following reasons: for safety or licensing reasons; if you behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the Event; if you use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if and when required, you are unable to produce proof of identity or age; if you refuse to comply with the Academy’s policies; if you breach these Terms; and/or if your Registration is void.


These Terms and Conditions are subject to change from time to time without notice and at the Academy’s sole discretion. We will notify you of Amendments to these Terms and Conditions by posting them on this Website.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will The Academy cover my travel expenses if I attend the Sangam Event?

No, Students and Guests who enroll for SANGAM will be responsible for the expense of their own travel, commute, and accommodation. The Academy will not cover these expenses.

2) Who is eligible to receive snacks and lunch during rehearsals on August 3rd?
Students and one accompanying parent or caretaker attending rehearsals on August 3rd will receive snacks and lunch. Additionally, lunch will be provided at the venue on the event day, August 4th for all participating students and their guests who have enrolled for SANGAM.

3)What is the practice recording submission requirement for SANGAM rehearsal classes?
All students participating in SANGAM rehearsal classes are required to submit a practice recording before June 20th. This recording serves as a means of assessing each student's progress and preparedness for the event.

4)How will I know if my practice recording meets quality standards?
The instructor will evaluate each practice recording and provide feedback to the student. If improvements are needed, the instructor will communicate this feedback along with recommendations for areas of focus and additional instruction.

5) Will I be notified if I need to purchase additional makeup classes?
Yes, if your practice recording indicates that additional instruction is necessary to meet quality standards, the instructor will inform you of this requirement. You will receive guidance on purchasing makeup classes and scheduling them accordingly.

6) How will I receive the timing and venue information?
Timing and venue details will be communicated through various channels, including email, the event website, social media platforms, and any other relevant communication channels used by the organizers. Please ensure that your contact information is up-to-date to receive timely updates.

7)When will I receive my certificate?
Certificates will be awarded during the rehearsal session on August 3rd. You will have the opportunity to receive your certificate along with a photograph and potentially have your picture taken with Shankar Mahadevan awarding the certificate.

8)Who owns the intellectual property rights to recordings made during classes and events related to The Academy?
The Academy automatically assumes intellectual property rights over all student recordings made during classes and all events related to The Academy.

9)What does it mean for The Academy to assume intellectual property rights over student recordings?
This means that The Academy reserves the right to utilize photographs, videos, and recordings of any students in various mediums, including but not limited to print, TV, radio, social media, or any other form of media, as deemed suitable by The Academy.

10)Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend or complete the course?
No, fees paid for courses are non-refundable. Once payment is made, it cannot be refunded, regardless of attendance or completion status.

11) Can I transfer my course fees to another person or use them for a different course in the future?
No, course fees are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another individual or used for payment towards a different course in the future.

 What if I need to cancel my enrollment due to unforeseen circumstances?
Unfortunately, fees are non-refundable even in the case of unforeseen circumstances. We recommend considering your commitment carefully before enrolling in a course.

13) Can I use the fees paid for the SANGAM event to enroll in another course offered by The Academy?
No, SANGAM fees cannot be used for paying for a future course. Each course or event has its own associated fees, and payments cannot be transferred between different offerings.

14) Why are fees non-refundable and non-transferrable?
SANGAM fees are non-refundable and non-transferable as the Academy uses your commitment to commit various expenses towards rehearsals, venue booking, and arranging lunch and other resources for the smooth conduct of SANGAM
