Shankar Mahadevan Academy is launching its latest social program: Udaan – Bring Back the Joy of Learning. We are kicking off the initiative by announcing our annual Lyrics Contest. We are looking for the most stirring lyrics on this topic penned by the most socially conscious lyricists. So pick up your pen and do the write thing. Allow your words to give a voice to this cause.
Include the following lines in your poetry:

Education has the power to change society. But what does education mean today? Does only reading through books and passing exams help our children become better citizens and more creative human beings? Though education has reached more children after the Government of India initiative ‘Right to Education’, there’s still a gap between education and the joy of learning.
To create an innovative thought process we need to make learning a joyful experience for the young generation. Learning shouldn’t become just a routine, instead, it should bring freedom and liberty. It should nurture deep learning and not just rote learning, it should focus on emotional quotient as much as it does on intelligence quotient.
If your lyrics get selected as the winning entry, we will feature your name in a music video with Shankar Mahadevan.

Contestant have to submit their lyrics before 31st December, 3 PM. No late entries would be taken into consideration.
Lyrics should be in Hindi.
Acceptable file format for written lyrics: pdf, doc or docx
Size of each file should not exceed 10 MB
One time purchase gives you access for only one submission. Please ensure that you upload the correct files. No requests for changing the file that is submitted initially will be entertained.
The academy is not liable for refund, once payment has been made.
Any complaints related to the submission will be addressed according to the discretion of the Academy.
Files will become the property of academy after submission. The uploaded content will not be returned to the student and will be archived. The Academy reserves the right to use the rendition as it deems fit.
The judges’ decision on the participants’ performance will be final & binding and cannot be challenged by the participant or any representative of the participant under any circumstances.
