<li>The objective of LYP103 is to guide learners from familiarity to fluency - transforming foundational piano skills into expressive control.</li>
<li>Through focused practice in scales, arpeggios, and harmonic movement, students develop technical precision, tonal balance, and emotional awareness.</li>
<li>The course aims to help each pianist play with intention, listen with understanding, and express with confidence - marking the true beginning of mastery on the piano.</li>

<li>Play two-octave major and minor scales with accuracy, balanced tone, and even finger transitions across both hands.</li>
<li>Perform major and minor arpeggios fluently, demonstrating smooth wrist motion, consistent touch, and correct fingering patterns.</li>
<li>Identify, build, and connect diatonic triads within a given key, understanding their functional relationships.</li>
<li>Interpret and execute chord progressions (I–vi–IV–V and related patterns) with rhythmic control and harmonic awareness.</li>
<li>Apply staccato, legato, and dynamic variations to create expressive contrast and phrasing in performance.</li>
<li>Demonstrate basic independence between hands, maintaining coordination in scale and chordal passages.</li>

This is a 12-week course where the student gets one weekly lesson for 12 weeks.

In LYP103, students move beyond comfort and begin to play with command. This course bridges technique and artistry - transforming scales, arpeggios, and chord patterns into expressive tools. Through mindful practice, creative exploration, and real-world repertoire, learners discover how precision, control, and musicality can coexist.
Each lesson blends emotional connection with disciplined craft, using dynamic exercises, engaging visuals, and SEL-inspired reflections to deepen both technical fluency and inner confidence. By the end of LYP103, students don’t just play the piano - they begin to speak its language fluently.
