This course does not have skill based pre requisites; the colloection of songs is based on Hindustani Music. Students with love for singing could enroll.

<li>To learn the aspects of Laya and Taal</li>
<li>To learn about the composers of the songs learnt</li>
<li>To do necessary vocal exercises with seven Shuddh Swaras in Aakar </li>
<li>To practice Raga Bhupali and Raga Durga Aaroh Avaroh structure with basic patternning exercises</li>
</ul>

The student is able to:

<li>present the songs learnt with attention to the melodic and rhythmic structure along with sharing the basic information about the compositions</li>

This course has 12 instructor led sessions, each session is of 45 minutes duration.

This course offers a collection of beautiful compositions from Hindustani classical, Bhajan and folk genres. The content has been designed for students with passion to sing. The students would be facilitated to learn musical concepts through song compositions. The focus is laid on expression of the lyrical content effectively by applying right vocal techniques and rhythm concepts. Vocal exercises are taught to aid development of skill and techniques. This course brings songs that are simple in structure and melodious to perform.
