The student needs to have completed HV206 or equivalent learning

To develop an understanding of the Raga structures 
To do Swar Sadhana with focus on specific vocal exercises 
To learn the compositions 
To develop and present the compositions  within the Taal structure

The student is able to present the chosen compositions with improvisational elements.

Abhang is a form of Bhakti Sangeet from Maharashtra. The poetry written by saint poets describing Bhakti themes around Lord Vitthala is set in beautiful melodies sung in an unbroken manner. This course has focus on learning these beautiful compositions that are lyrically and musically rich.
