In this course there will be a reinforcement of topics covered in GWM 102B and students will learn the concept of ‘on beat’ and ‘offbeat’. We will also introduce Timescale for beat patterns. The students will see the relation between swaras and solfege, learn the Kodaly handsigns and learn simple swara patterns. They will learn to sing a song using the basic dynamic levels as instructed. The students will also learn a new set of interesting, 5- 6 songs, which would be in English, Hindi and a regional/foreign language. The variety of songs will help build an appreciation of music in children and also help them see how the concepts learnt are applied in the song.
