Shankar Mahadevan Academy in association with IIT Kharagpur is organising an online singing competition throughout India and the top 20 participants from that will directly qualify to the final round of “Spring Fest Idol ’15”.

• Audition Start Date: 6th November, 2014
• Audition End date: 1st December, 2014 (By 3:00 PM IST.)
• Audition Results: 9th December, 2014
• Participant can sing a song in any of the Indian languages and it can be a movie song, an album song or his/her original composition.
• The audition serves as a gateway to reach the Finale of “Spring Fest Idol ’15”. Participants selected in the audition will move into the finals to be held in in IIT Kharagpur on 24th of January, 2015.
• Results of the contest will be communicated by email and phone to winners by 9th of December.

• Do not use the karaoke track or any instrument in background.
• You can upload/record only a single rendition of your song for the contest. Please ensure that you upload the correct file. Only the first entry from an individual will be taken into consideration
• Participant should be a college student or a college pass-out and he/she must not be more than 30 years old. (In any case of suspicion, the participant may be asked to show his/her age proof)
• The maximum duration of the rendition should not exceed 6 minutes.
• File size should not exceed 15MB
• Acceptable file format: mp3, wma, m4a, amr
• The decision of the winner will be done on the basis of final performance in IIT Kharagpur campus.
• The uploaded content will not be returned to the student and will be archived. The Academy reserves the right to use the rendition as it deems fit.
• Anybody from anywhere in the world can apply. The Academy will not be liable for any travel, travel related issues or damages arising out of travel.
