Registration and Song Submission

1. You can first register for SMA Awaz, and submit your audio files later before 31 January
2. You will need to submit one audio file in mp3, wav, wma, m4a, amr as your song submission. 
3. Once you submit your audio file, you cannot make any changes to that.
4. For your song submission, you can sing any song of your choice. It can even be your own, original song.
5. The song you choose can be from any genre (kind) of music and in any language.
6. Any karaoke track or Tanpura is fine as an accompaniment. 
7. Keep the time limit for your song submission at a maximum of 2 minutes. Submissions longer than 2 minutes will not be considered. 
8. Sing in your natural voice. Voice modification will not be allowed.

Evaluation and Feedback

1. You will receive Feedback from the Judges for one song submission only. 
2. Submissions of multiple songs will be considered as separate entries, and will require separate registrations. 
3. The decisions of SMA Awaz’s Judges will be final.
4. Any complaints related to the Feedback will be addressed according to the discretion of the Academy.

 

Reserved rights 

1. There will be no refunds on the registration fee, even if the participant decides not to proceed with the submission after registration.
2. Shankar Mahadevan Academy reserves the right to cancel SMA Awaz, and refund your Entry Fee.
3. Shankar Mahadevan Academy will own the song submission content you upload, in perpetuity. The audio files you submit will not be returned to you. 
4. Shankar Mahadevan Academy reserves the right to use your song submissions for marketing purposes or in any other way as it deems fit.
5. The Finale of SMA Awaz will be a Live Show. Shankar Mahadevan Academy reserves the right to broadcast the Semifinal Round as well as a Live Show.
   
6. The winner gets a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000, first runner up wins Rs 50,000, and second runner up wins Rs 25,000.
7. In case of a tie, the prize money will be split equally by the winners.
