Playback singing has shaped Indian music and given voices to many iconic stars. This course helps aspiring singers master melody, rhythm, expression, and creativity while bringing their unique voice to any song.

What You’ll Learn:

• Melody (Sur), rhythm (Taal), dynamics, and expression
• Identifying strengths and improving weaknesses
• Understanding music director’s vision and adding your creativity
• Studio recording experience for selected students

Course Journey & Format:

• Duration: 12 weeks, one lesson per week
• Personalized lessons to suit your voice and style
• Opportunity to record a song arranged by Shankar Mahadevan Academy (for students scoring above 90% in final evaluation)

Who Can Join:

• Students 16 years and above
• Strong knowledge of melody, rhythm, and expression
• Able to sing creatively while keeping the emotion of the original
• Submit two recordings (2 mins each, with tanpura/pad and metronome):
  • One in your strongest genre
  • One self-challenging song
• No vocal processing or digital alterations
