Enhancement course facilitates situations for deeper learning and creativity.This is a course with emphasis on creative content covered in the first two levels of the Hindustani Vocal Music- Beginner's curriculum(HV101,102)The main points of focus are Swar Sadhana and Composition of a melody. Swar Sadhana starts by learning to sing every note to perfection using the right kind of voice. Swar Sadhana also includes voice training using different exercises and technique. There is a thrust on creativity by composing while learning all along.This starts with patterning of Swaras, patterning with different rhythm patterns,composing melodies with Swaras. The Raga content has Raga Bhupali, patterning with five Swaras , Chhota Khayal. This course also includes a study of some folk melodies.

Objectives

  • To sing shudh swaras with perfect matching to the Tanpura. 
  • Understanding and practice of vowel sounds and breathing techniques.
  • To create patterns with Seven Swaras and Five Swaras
  • To correlate Swara Patterns to different rhythm patterns
  • Learn a folk song

  • Fitting patterns within the Chhota Khayal(creating Aalap and Taan)
