Prerequisites

The student has completed HV315 from the academy OR the student has Chhota Khayal in about 35 Ragas and is able to present at least 25 Ragas with Swar Vistar, Aalap and Taan. The student is able to present 25 Bada Khayals with development. The Bada Khayal includes Ragas Yaman, Bhairav, Bhupali, Bihag, Bageshri, Bhimpalasi, Malkauns, Jaijaivanti, Todi and Darbari. The student is able to compose ones own Sargam Geet/Tarana in the Ragas learnt set to various basic Taals. 


Overview

Raga Puriya Dhanashri is a concert favourite Raga. This Raga has got the depth of emotions, yet has a Raga Roop which is not complex. This Raga which can be sung in all three Saptaks is studied by ltaking a Bada Khayal as well as a Chhota Khayal in detail. Raga Madhukauns is introduced in this course. Raga Lalit could be sung with the Bada Khayal and Chhota Khayal as the revist Raga.The student has the option to choose any Raga for review.
