Overview

In this level, the student handles in detail vasantha raga which is a Panchama varja raga. Here again the thala is also challenging as well as the composition. The student learns to sing niraval and swaraprasthara for this in at least two speeds. Valaj, a raga which can be sung either as sub-main, taken up as a RTP raga or used in viruttam singing is handled in detail.A light raga like Kapi is taught with all the nuances in a heavy classical piece like a javali. Here again viruttam singing is further honed with quicker raga changes and ragas back in the reverse order.
